Consensus buys & sells
The stocks the most hedge funds bought, and the ones the most sold, in the quarter you pick. Each is ranked by how many more managers added to it than cut it - breadth rather than size, so twenty funds adding a little outranks one fund piling in.
Source: SEC EDGAR Form 13F filings for the hedge funds on this site's list, each measured against its own previous filing - so Q2 2026 describes what changed between the Q1 2026 and Q2 2026 filings, and since managers file up to 45 days after quarter end, the moves are at least that old. A manager is a buyer if it held more shares at the end of the quarter than at the start (a position new this quarter counts) and a seller if it held fewer (a position sold out entirely counts). Share counts are adjusted for stock splits first, so a split is not read as buying. Net bought values the shares that changed hands at the quarter-end price each filing implies. Only stocks held on both sides of the quarter are ranked: a stock most of whose holders only just opened it, and that few held before - an IPO, a spin-off a manager received from a parent, a new listing - is listed under new to the books instead, and one most of its holders left at once - mostly a takeover that closed - under gone from every book. ETFs are left out, since a market maker trading one against its book is hedging rather than taking a view. Options are not counted.
